Quick recap

Jamie survives Culloden, spends years hiding near Lallybroch and turns himself in so his family can collect the reward. At Ardsmuir prison he wins the friendship of the governor, Lord John Grey, and later works as a groom at Helwater, where he fathers a son, William. In Boston, Claire lives 20 hard years with Frank, becomes a doctor and is widowed. With help from Roger and Brianna, she finds out Jamie is a printer in Edinburgh and goes back through the stones. The reunion comes with surprises: smuggling, a secret about Laoghaire and the kidnapping of young Ian. The search takes the couple to Jamaica, where Claire faces Geillis. On the way back, a hurricane sinks their ship, and they wash up on the coast of Georgia.
