Brianna Fraser

Brianna arrives in Scotland with Claire after the death of Frank, the man who raised her as his own. There she meets Roger Wakefield. When Claire says her biological father is an 18th-century Highlander, Brianna refuses to believe it. She only changes her mind after watching Geillis Duncan go through the stones at Craigh na Dun.

Brianna helps her mother and Roger search for Jamie in the historical records. When they find his trail in Edinburgh, she pushes Claire to go back to the past, even knowing she may never see her again.

Brianna finds a notice about Jamie and Claire dying in a fire and goes through the stones to warn them. Roger follows. The two secretly handfast in Wilmington but fight. Later, Stephen Bonnet attacks Brianna, and she finds out she's pregnant. She finally meets Jamie, and a misunderstanding about Roger puts father and daughter at odds until he returns.

Brianna marries Roger at Fraser's Ridge and raises their son, Jemmy. When Stephen Bonnet crosses the family's path again, she's the one who ends the threat. The couple even tries to go back to the 20th century, but decides to stay on the Ridge.

After Amanda is born with a heart condition, Brianna takes the family to the 20th century. At Lallybroch she gets a job at a dam and reads her parents' letters. Rob Cameron kidnaps Jemmy and takes him through the stones, and Roger goes after them. Trapped in the dam's tunnels, Brianna confronts Rob and, in the end, crosses over with the kids to Roger in 1739.

With the family back at Fraser's Ridge, Brianna reveals she's pregnant again. She sees up close how the Kings Mountain prophecy weighs on Jamie, loses Fergus, Jamie's adopted son, in a fire at the print shop and watches her father ride out to the last battle with Roger, Ian and the militia.

In the books, Brianna has been around since Dragonfly in Amber (1992). On the show, Sophie Skelton was cast in January 2016 and debuted in a single S2 episode before becoming a series regular.
