Quick recap

The book picks up right where the last one ended, in Philadelphia in 1778. Jamie comes back to find Claire married to Lord John, which sets the two men against each other. William, furious about learning who his father is, tries to move on. In 1980, Brianna searches for her son Jemmy, while Roger and Buck go through the stones after the boy and land in 1739, where Roger runs into his own past. Jamie rejoins the American army, and at the Battle of Monmouth Claire is badly wounded. The book ends with Roger, Brianna and the kids reunited with Jamie and Claire at Fraser's Ridge.
