Quick recap

In 1779, the family is back at Fraser's Ridge and trying to rebuild. Jamie and Claire plan a new house, Roger takes on the role of the community's minister, and Brianna and the kids settle into the 18th century for good. The war, though, is spreading through the South, and Jamie knows he can't stay out of it much longer. Lord John and William remain tangled up with the British side, and new settlers shake up life on the Ridge. The book moves into 1780 with the family under pressure and leaves plenty of threads for the tenth novel, which Gabaldon is still writing.
