The season opens with Maddie abducted by the "Screen Cutter," Kurt Dockweiler. Bosch and Honey Chandler race to find her while the FBI eyes their role in Carl Rogers' death. Maddie is rescued, but getting back to police work is hard, and she tries to understand what her father did and what he's still hiding. Bosch keeps taking on new clients as a PI. In the last episode, Maddie answers her father's phone and hears Preston Borders say he "took care of it," a sign that Bosch had a hand in Dockweiler's death.
