Quick recap

Off the LAPD after his suspension, Bosch gets a request from his half-brother, Mickey Haller: investigate for the defense. The client is Da'Quan Foster, charged with killing West Hollywood city official Lexi Parks, with DNA that seems to settle it. For an ex-cop, working the defense side feels like betrayal, and old colleagues turn their backs. With quiet help from his former partner Lucia Soto, Bosch reworks the case and finds holes the police chose not to see. The trail leads to corrupt cops, and Bosch becomes a target when he gets too close. In the end, he proves the case was a frame, clears Foster and accepts that chasing the truth sometimes means crossing over.
