Quick recap

A fire kills the parents of Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire, and banker Mr. Poe hands the three to Count Olaf, a failed actor after their fortune. His plan to marry Violet in a play falls apart because she signs with the wrong hand. Olaf escapes and comes back in disguise with every new guardian. He kills Uncle Monty, leaves Aunt Josephine to the leeches and, at the lumber mill, teams up with Dr. Orwell, who hypnotizes Klaus. Orwell dies in a furnace and Olaf gets away again. The mysterious couple trying to get home all season turn out to be the parents of the Quagmire triplets. In the end, the Baudelaires are sent to Prufrock Prep.
