Quick recap

The Baudelaires move in with Dr. Montgomery Montgomery, Uncle Monty, a cheerful herpetologist planning a trip to Peru. The new assistant, Stephano, is Count Olaf in disguise, but Monty doesn't believe the kids. The next morning, Monty is found dead. Dr. Lucafont says the Mamba du Mal bit him. Violet picks the lock on Stephano's suitcase and finds venom syringes and the powder hiding his eye tattoo. Klaus points out the mamba would have left marks the body doesn't have. Mr. Poe wipes off the powder and sees the tattoo. Olaf escapes with Dr. Lucafont, who was the hook-handed man. Monty's reptiles are taken away.
