Quick recap

Thomas wakes inside a dark lift with no memory and rises to the Glade, a field ringed by four giant doors. Dozens of boys have lived there for more than two years, split into jobs. The Runners map the maze each day, and the doors close at dusk. Thomas breaks the rules by entering at night, and the arrival of a girl the next day upends the routine. The Grievers begin attacking the Glade. Thomas sees that the walls follow a code and that the answers lie at the heart of the maze. Facing the Grievers and finding the exit becomes the group's only chance.
