Baptism of Fire

Geralt leaves Brokilon after Ciri with Dandelion (Jaskier) and the archer Milva. They're joined by Zoltan Chivay's dwarves, who are escorting refugees, Regis, a vampire working as a barber-surgeon, and Cahir, the Nilfgaardian knight who once hunted Ciri. Geralt's and Cahir's dreams suggest the Ciri taken to Nilfgaard is a fake. Milva learns she's pregnant and decides to keep the baby. Far away, Philippa founds the Lodge of Sorceresses, and Yennefer slips off to hunt Vilgefortz alone. Ciri, as Falka, lives with the Rats and starts to enjoy killing. At the battle for the bridge on the Yaruga, the company saves Queen Meve, and Milva loses the baby. Meve knights Geralt, and "of Rivia" becomes a real title.
