Quick recap

1815. Napoleon escapes Elba, and Sharpe leaves his Normandy farm to rejoin the army on the staff of the Prince of Orange, an untested young man. Sharpe sees the French crossing the border, but no one believes him. At Quatre Bras and then Waterloo, the prince's orders cost dearly, and one of them gets Hagman and Harris killed. Rossendale, Jane's lover, rides into battle and dies on French bayonets. Sharpe faces the Imperial Guard with his old regiment and watches Napoleon's army collapse as the Prussians arrive. It's the end of the war and of the original series.
