Quick recap

Lisbeth comes back to Stockholm after time away. At Millennium, journalist Dag Svensson and his girlfriend Mia are finishing a sex-trafficking story that names powerful people. Both are shot dead, and so is Lisbeth's guardian, Bjurman, with her prints on the gun. As the police hunt her, Mikael works to clear her and follows the name "Zala." Lisbeth gets there first: at a farmhouse near Gosseberga she learns Zala is Zalachenko, her father, and that the giant Niedermann, his hired killer, is her half-brother. Zalachenko shoots her and buries her alive. She claws her way out, hits her father with an axe and holds Niedermann off until Mikael arrives. Father and daughter both end up in the hospital, badly hurt.
