Quick recap

Mikael Blomkvist of Millennium magazine loses a libel case against financier Wennerström. Before serving his sentence, he takes a job from industrialist Henrik Vanger: find out what happened to his niece Harriet, who vanished in 1966. Hacker Lisbeth Salander, who ran a background check on Mikael for Vanger, joins the case. They tie the disappearance to a string of murdered women and land on Harriet's brother Martin, who traps Mikael in his basement. Lisbeth saves him, and Martin dies in a car crash she chooses not to stop. Harriet turns up alive in Australia. Using files Lisbeth pulls from Wennerström's computer, Mikael publishes his exposé, and she walks off with the financier's money.
