Quick recap

In the cold-case unit, Bosch and his partner David Chu reopen the 1989 murder of Lily Price. The DNA matches Clayton Pell, who was eight at the time, and everyone fears lab contamination. Pell says he was abused as a child by a man called Chill. The trail leads to Chilton Hardy, who'd been living under his father's identity and confesses to dozens of murders. Meanwhile, councilman Irvin Irving, Bosch's old enemy, asks him to look into his son George's fall from a Chateau Marmont window. Bosch concludes George took his own life. Pell attacks Hardy during a prisoner transfer, and Bosch saves Hardy's life. The case gets held until after the election.
