Quick recap

Bosch investigates the murder of John Li, a liquor store owner who was kind to him years ago, and suspects a triad hitman. Warned off, he gets a video of his daughter, Maddie, held captive in Hong Kong. With less than a day before the suspect walks, Bosch flies there and, with ex-wife Eleanor and bodyguard Sun Yee, tracks the kidnapper. Eleanor is killed during the search. Bosch rescues Maddie and brings her back to Los Angeles. There, the case turns toward Li's own family, and Bosch's partner, Ignacio Ferras, is killed. In the end, Maddie confesses the kidnapping started as her own scheme to live with her dad.
