Quick recap

Laid off from the Los Angeles Times, Jack McEvoy has two weeks to train his replacement, Angela Cook, and wants one last big story: Alonzo Winslow, 16, charged with murdering a stripper. Jack realizes the kid may be innocent and that there's a pattern of bodies in car trunks. On the other side, Wesley Carver, security chief at a data center, watches everything the reporters do online and cuts off Jack's cards and phone. Jack calls agent Rachel Walling. Angela turns up dead under his bed. Jack kills Carver's accomplice while saving Rachel. Later, a webcam reveals Carver has been watching them, and Rachel shoots him, leaving him in a coma.
