Quick recap

On New Year's Day, a dog brings home a child's arm bone from the hills of Laurel Canyon. The dig uncovers the skeleton of a boy of about 12, dead more than 20 years, with signs of years of abuse. The bones belong to Arthur Delacroix, missing since 1980. His father confesses, but Bosch doesn't buy it. The trail leads to Johnny Stokes, Arthur's friend from a foster home, who killed him as a teen and dies in a police raid. A romance with rookie cop Julia Brasher ends in tragedy. In the end, Bosch leaves his badge and gun and walks out of the LAPD.
