Quick recap

Alex, Marty, Melman, Gloria and the lemurs go after the penguins, who left for a honeymoon in Monte Carlo. Captain DuBois, Monaco's animal-control chief, hunts them to hang Alex's head on her wall. With no plane, they hop a circus train and pretend to be American performers. The penguins buy the circus with their casino winnings. In Rome, Alex falls for Gia the jaguar. In the Alps, they build a new act. In London, a document reveals the gang's true motives, and the circus kicks them out. Back in New York, the friends return to the zoo but decide the circus is where they belong.
