Quick recap

In 1996, the game turns into a video game cartridge and swallows teenager Alex Vreeke. Twenty years later, four kids in detention, Spencer, Fridge, Bethany and Martha, switch on the console and land in the game inside the avatars they picked: strongman Dr. Bravestone, pint-sized Mouse Finbar, Professor Shelly Oberon and fighter Ruby Roundhouse. Each gets three lives. Guide Nigel lays out the mission: return the Jaguar's Eye jewel to its statue and save Jumanji from the villain Van Pelt. They find Alex, stuck as pilot Seaplane, and Bethany gives him one of her lives. The jewel goes back, they all shout "Jumanji" and return. Alex reappears in 1996 and, in the present, is a family man. The friends smash the game.
