Quick recap

Brooke and her best friend Zeke land parts in the school play, The Phantom: she's the lead, he's the title monster. A legend surfaces: decades ago, the boy cast as the Phantom vanished before opening night. Someone starts sabotaging rehearsals with red paint and threatening notes. The pair meet Emile, a mysterious night janitor, and Brian, a new kid who joins their investigation. Under the stage they find a homeless man, and Zeke even gets pulled from the cast. On opening night, the Phantom goes off-script, claims to be the vanished boy, and drops through the trapdoor when Brooke tears off his mask. Afterward, a 1920s yearbook reveals the missing boy's name: Brian.
