Quick recap

Kovacs is back on Harlan's World in a new body. He joins Sylvie's crew. On one job, Sylvie's personality is taken over by that of Quellcrist Falconer, the revolutionary everyone thought had died 300 years earlier. The Harlan family sends an illegal, younger copy of Kovacs after them, and he kills most of the crew and captures Sylvie. Kovacs rescues her, but the neo-Quellists are betrayed. Captured again, Sylvie/Quell calls down fire from the orbitals, which wipes out their captors, and the younger copy dies. The book ends with the group planning to use her link to the orbitals against the planet's ruling elite.
