The Dragon Reborn

Rand sets out alone for Tear, home of Callandor, the crystal sword only the Dragon can wield. Moiraine, Lan, Perrin and Loial follow his trail, and along the way Perrin meets Faile. Mat is healed of the dagger in Tar Valon and travels through Andor to Tear, chasing assassins. Egwene, Nynaeve and Elayne, now Accepted, hunt the Black Ajah and end up imprisoned in the city. Mat and the thief-catcher Juilin set them free. In the Stone of Tear, Rand faces the Forsaken Be'lal, whom Moiraine destroys. Rand takes Callandor and kills Ba'alzamon. The Aiel take the Stone in the Dragon's name. Doubt remains: Moiraine doesn't believe the body is the Dark One's, and Egwene suspects it was Ishamael.
