Quick recap

The plague takes New York, and Palmer uses his power to bury the news. Setrakian, his heart failing, races to find the Occido Lumen, a medieval book that may explain how to beat the vampires. Eph, on the run, tries to shield Zack from his turned mother, Kelly, and becomes obsessed with killing Palmer. Nora drifts away from him. Fet brings an exterminator's practical fixes. Gus, recruited by the other Ancients, leads a band of fighters, and half-vampire Quinlan, the Ancients' hunter, goes after his own maker. Eichhorst, the former Treblinka commandant, serves the Master. The Master's plan is a nuclear winter, using the power plants Palmer built worldwide. In the end, Setrakian dies, the blasts darken the sky and the Master moves into rock star Gabriel Bolivar's body.
