Quick recap

With America recovering from her heart attack, Eadlyn cuts the Selection to six and steps in as regent while Maxon stays with his wife. She grows close to Kile, Henri, Hale and Erik, Henri's translator. Hale tells her he has feelings for Ean, another suitor, and Eadlyn helps them. After a televised town hall, Maxon agrees to hand her the throne, and Eadlyn is crowned queen. Marid Illéa tries to pressure her into marrying him. Kile leaves to work on a housing project, and Henri sees that Eadlyn and Erik love each other and steps aside. Maxon tells his daughter about the abuse he suffered as a child and urges her to follow her heart. Eadlyn chooses Erik, who accepts, and announces Illéa will have a prime minister.
