The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

The Vogons attack the Heart of Gold. Zaphod's dead great-grandfather saves the group and sends Zaphod to find whoever really rules the universe. Zaphod ends up on Frogstar World B, survives the Total Perspective Vortex and meets his friends again at Milliways, the restaurant at the end of the universe. They escape on a ship belonging to the band Disaster Area. Zaphod and Trillian find the man who rules the universe. Arthur and Ford land on prehistoric Earth, aboard a ship full of useless Golgafrinchans who will become humanity's ancestors. The Question Arthur pulls from Scrabble tiles makes no sense, and the two decide to make the best of life there.

1. ChangeStraight to the restaurant

   In the book, the group survives a Vogon attack and Zaphod goes through Frogstar World B before reaching Milliways. In the series, the four go from Magrathea straight to the restaurant.

   The series ends with Arthur and Ford on prehistoric Earth. Zaphod, Trillian and Marvin stay on Disaster Area's ship, and the meeting with the man who rules the universe is left out.
