Quick recap

Ten years later, Virginia's Solar Republic is still fighting what's left of the Society. Darrow defies the Senate to free Mercury and goes on the run with the Howlers. New voices join: Lyria, a Red refugee who ends up serving House Telemanus on Mars; Ephraim, a thief hired for a kidnapping; and Lysander, the old Sovereign's grandson, living with Cassius at the edge of the system. Darrow's and Sevro's children are kidnapped. On Venus, the Howlers kill the Ash Lord, then learn Atalantia is planning a massacre on Mercury. Darrow chooses Mercury over his children, and Sevro walks away. Lysander brings the Rim Dominion and the Society's remnants together against the Republic.
