Quick recap

In June 2012, in Oxnard, California, Jesse has just graduated. Downstairs lives Ana, believed to be a witch, who turns up murdered. Jesse and his friend Hector go into her apartment and find black magic items and VHS tapes. After a ritual, Jesse gets a bite mark and powers, like levitation. He turns violent and suicidal. The friends track down Ali Rey, who explains Jesse was marked by The Midwives, a coven that takes first-born sons from women to build an army of possessed young men. The final ritual happens at Lois's house. Hector goes through a door and travels back in time to Katie and Micah's house, on the day of the first film, and, trying to escape, is presumably killed by a possessed Jesse.
