On October 9, 2006, Katie kills Kristi and Daniel and takes baby Hunter. In November 2011, in Henderson, Nevada, teenager Alex lives with her parents, Doug and Holly, and her six-year-old brother, Wyatt. The neighbor boy, Robbie, whose mother is mysterious, starts staying at their house. Wyatt talks about a friend, and Alex and her boyfriend, Ben, set up cameras using a laptop, Skype and the Xbox Kinect. A symbol on Wyatt's back leads to a possession ritual. It turns out Robbie's mother is Katie. She tells Wyatt he was adopted and that his other family wants him back, and he shouts at an invisible presence: "My name is not Hunter!". Holly dies, Ben has his neck snapped and the family is hunted. Alex flees through a window, sees Wyatt and a ring of women, and Katie appears behind her before the camera drops.
