Quick recap

Monkey D. Luffy ate the Gum-Gum Fruit, got a rubber body and wants to be King of the Pirates. Alone in a tiny boat, he sails the East Blue building a crew: swordsman Zoro, navigator Nami, sniper Usopp, who brings the ship Going Merry, and cook Sanji from the floating restaurant Baratie. At Arlong Park, Luffy learns Nami was forced to work for the fish-man Arlong and takes him down to free her village. In Loguetown, Buggy nearly executes him on the very spot where Gol D. Roger died; a lightning bolt saves him and he escapes Captain Smoker. The saga ends with the crew entering the Grand Line.
