Season 1 of the Netflix series, from 2023, with 8 episodes. Luffy, who ate the Gum-Gum Fruit, sets out to become King of the Pirates and gathers Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji. Along the way they face Alvida, Buggy, the butler Kuro in Kaya's village and the chaos at the Baratie, where Zoro loses to Mihawk. Garp, Luffy's grandfather, hunts his grandson with young Koby in tow. Arlong, set up early as the season's big villain, rules Nami's village. She asks for help, and Luffy beats Arlong at Arlong Park. Nami officially joins, Luffy gets a bounty, and the crew heads for the Grand Line.
