Quick recap

Mickey Haller is a defense attorney who works out of the back of a Lincoln. He takes the case of Louis Roulet, a rich playboy accused of beating a sex worker. Digging in, Mickey decides Roulet also committed an old murder that his former client Jesus Martinez is serving time for. Roulet admits it, knowing attorney-client privilege ties Mickey's hands. After investigator Frank Levin is killed, Mickey finds the bullet came from his late father's pistol. In court he takes the witnesses apart and Roulet walks, only to be arrested for the old murder thanks to evidence Maggie finds. Roulet's mother confesses to killing Levin and shoots Mickey, who kills her. Martinez goes free.
