To stop it, she brings in Harry Bosch, still recovering from cancer, and the FBI. Meanwhile, her cold-case unit gets a DNA hit that could solve 20 years of attacks by the Pillowcase Rapist. And Maddie Bosch, now a patrol officer, joins the team with evidence tied to the 1947 Black Dahlia murder. Ballard also faces her own family's past and her missing mother.
