Quick recap
After Jorge Ochoa walks out of prison, exonerated after 14 years, Mickey Haller starts an innocence project and puts his half-brother, Harry Bosch, on reading inmates' letters. Bosch picks the case of Lucinda Sanz, convicted in the death of her ex-husband, a sheriff's deputy. He learns the deputy ran with a crew of corrupt colleagues and was secretly working with the FBI. Suspicion falls on Sgt. Stephanie Sanger, who collected Lucinda's gunshot residue sample. Haller and Bosch face threats. A DNA test ties Sanger to the sample, but a cartel hitman kills her at the courthouse. The judge vacates the conviction, and Lucinda goes free.
