Quick recap

After three years of retirement, Bosch returns to the LAPD in the Open-Unsolved Unit, partnered again with Kiz Rider. Their first case is the 1988 killing of 16-year-old Rebecca Verloren, never solved. A new DNA test points to Roland Mackey, who has ties to white supremacist groups, raising the idea that Rebecca, the daughter of an interracial couple, was killed for that. Bosch and Rider retrace the original investigation and reopen LA's racial wounds from before Rodney King. Deputy Chief Irvin Irving waits for a slip to bring Bosch down. In the end, one piece of evidence changes everything, and they learn what happened that night and who was responsible.
