Quick recap

A 1914 prologue shows young soldier Poirot wounded in the war, and the moustache grown to hide the scar. In 1937, heiress Linnet Ridgeway marries Simon Doyle, ex-fiancé of her friend Jackie de Bellefort, and takes the honeymoon party to Egypt, with Poirot and Bouc aboard the Karnak. Jackie stalks the couple and one night shoots Simon in the leg. The next morning Linnet is dead. The maid Louise and Bouc are killed too. Poirot proves Simon and Jackie were still lovers and staged it all. Cornered, Jackie kills Simon and herself with a single shot. Months later, a clean-shaven Poirot goes to watch Salome sing.
