Quick recap

1934. After solving a theft in Jerusalem, Poirot boards the Orient Express with help from his friend Bouc. American Edward Ratchett, who's been threatened, asks for protection, and Poirot turns him down. An avalanche derails the train, and Ratchett is found stabbed a dozen times. He was John Cassetti, who kidnapped and killed baby Daisy Armstrong. Poirot takes a shot in the shoulder from Dr. Arbuthnot, who missed on purpose, and gathers the passengers in a tunnel: all are tied to the Armstrongs, and each struck once. Mrs. Hubbard, really actress Linda Arden, claims the blame. Poirot decides justice has no place here, gives the police a story about a killer who fled, and gets called to the Nile.
