Quick recap

Three years after the Chicago murders, a professor lectures on the Candyman legend in New Orleans and is killed in a bar restroom. The prime suspect is Ethan Tarrant, whose father died looking into similar killings. His sister Annie, an art teacher, digs in and learns who Candyman was: Daniel Robitaille, the murdered son of a slave, bound to a cursed mirror. She also learns she's his descendant. The bodies pile up while Annie hunts for the mirror. She finds it in the flooded basement of the house where Daniel was born and smashes it, and Candyman is gone. Annie and her student Matthew survive. Five years later, Annie's little girl Caroline chants Candyman's name at bedtime.
