In Weapons, a small American town wakes up to an impossible mystery. On the same night, at 2:17 a.m., seventeen kids from teacher Justine Gandy's class get out of bed, open their front doors and run off into the dark. None of them come back. Out of the whole room, only one student, Alex, shows up to school the next morning.
The police have nothing, and the town's anger lands on Justine. Parents demand answers, the school tries to keep things quiet, and she becomes a suspect in everyone's eyes.
Archer Graff, father of one of the missing boys, refuses to sit and wait. He goes through home security footage and starts mapping the route the children took that night.
The film is split into chapters, each told from a different person's point of view. Piece by piece, their stories overlap and show that the town knows less than it thinks.
