Quick recap

In 1984, Lestat wakes from a long sleep in New Orleans, joins a rock band and writes his memoir to answer Louis. The youngest son of a marquis in the Auvergne, he goes to Paris to act and is turned by Magnus, who throws himself into a fire soon after. Lestat gives his blood to his mother, Gabrielle, takes on Armand's coven under the Cemetery of the Innocents and goes looking for Marius. Marius explains where vampires came from and shows him Akasha and Enkil, the parents of them all, unmoving for millennia. Lestat plays the violin, Akasha stirs and Marius sends him away. Back in the present, the San Francisco concert ends in an attack, and Akasha comes for Lestat.
