Quick recap

On the planet Latimer, Takeshi Kovacs wakes up in a new body with a job from yakuza boss Tanaseda: protect Holly, a young tattoo artist hunted by ninjas, and find out how Tanaseda's brother died. Along the way he meets Gena, a CTAC agent with a mission of her own. The three hide out at the Wild Geese, an old hotel run by the AI Ogai, while the Mizumoto clan prepares to pass on leadership, a ritual in which tattoos kill the boss who steps down. Kovacs learns that Shinji and Genzo are the same man: the clan's founder, who has been taking over his successors for generations. With Gena and Ogai, Kovacs beats the founder, and Tanaseda destroys his stack.
