Quick recap

The Baudelaires are picked up by the Queequeg, the submarine of Captain Widdershins and his stepdaughter, Fiona. The mission is to find a sugar bowl in the Gorgonian Grotto. The grotto is home to the Medusoid Mycelium, a deadly fungus, and Sunny is poisoned. Olaf captures them all and takes them aboard his own sub, the Carmelita. There, the hook-handed man turns out to be Fernald, Fiona's brother, and ends up helping the orphans. Klaus learns horseradish is an antidote, and Sunny thinks of wasabi, which saves her. Fiona chooses to stay with her brother, on Olaf's side. A telegram from Quigley sends the Baudelaires to Briny Beach. They find Mr. Poe there but get into Kit Snicket's taxi instead.
