Quick recap

In December, Bill leaves on a secret job for the Queen of Louisiana and vanishes in Mississippi, summoned by his maker Lorena. Eric takes Sookie to Jackson and sets the werewolf Alcide Herveaux to guide her. At Club Dead, a vampire bar, she reads enough minds to learn Bill is a prisoner and that Russell Edgington, the local king, may be involved. Debbie Pelt, Alcide's jealous ex, makes trouble. Sookie is staked during a Fellowship attack and ends up at Russell's mansion. At dawn she frees the tortured Bill and kills Lorena. Starving, Bill attacks her in the trunk of her car. Back home, Sookie breaks up with him, revokes the vampires' invitations and realizes Bill's secret project is hidden in her house.
