Andy accidentally tears Woody's arm, and the cowboy ends up on a shelf, afraid of being cast aside. While saving Wheezy the penguin from a yard sale, Woody is stolen by Al, who owns a toy store. In Al's apartment he learns he's the star of Woody's Roundup, a 1950s TV show, and meets Jessie, Bullseye the horse and Stinky Pete the Prospector. Al plans to sell the set to a museum in Japan. Jessie tells how her owner, Emily, gave her away, and Woody starts thinking a museum beats being forgotten. Meanwhile, Buzz and the gang cross town to rescue him, with a newer Buzz and Zurg along the way. Woody decides to go home and brings Jessie and Bullseye. Stinky Pete tries to stop them. The chase ends at the airport, and everyone makes it back to Andy's room.
