Woody is Andy's favorite toy, but everything changes when Andy gets a Buzz Lightyear for his birthday. Jealousy pushes Woody into a fight that leaves them both far from home. To get back, the two have to work together, and they become friends.
A collector steals Woody, and he learns he's part of an old TV show alongside Jessie, Bullseye and Stinky Pete. He faces a hard choice: live forever in a museum or go back to being a kid's toy. The gang sets out to rescue him.
Andy is leaving for college, and the toys end up at a daycare by mistake. Woody wants to go back to Andy, but the others see the daycare as a new home. He has to decide what's best for everyone, and the ending changes their lives.
At Bonnie's house, Woody is no longer the favorite. He tries to help the girl's new toy, Forky, who thinks he's trash. On a family road trip he reunites with Bo Peep, and the sheriff rethinks what he wants from life.
Tom Hanks voices Woody in all the films. In Toy Story 4, Woody is at the center of the story. He also appears in the Toy Story Toons shorts and the TV specials.
