Quick recap

The Saviors smear their weapons with walker gore, so every wound becomes a death sentence. Maggie takes over the Hilltop from Gregory. In the final showdown, Rick offers Negan a truce, slashes his throat and, instead of killing him, locks him in a cell in Alexandria. Then the story jumps about two years. The communities have become a network with trade and a fair on the way. A group of outsiders led by Magna arrives and can't believe what they see. Carl works as a blacksmith's apprentice at the Hilltop. The dead now seem to whisper. The volume ends with the whisperers' leader, Alpha, appearing for the first time.
