Quick recap

Spencer tries to get Negan to swap Rick for him and is killed by Negan himself. An attempt on Negan's life fails, and the war begins. Alexandria, the Hilltop and the Kingdom hit the Sanctuary together, surrounding it with a herd. The Saviors strike back: Holly is captured and returned as a walker, and Shiva dies saving Ezekiel. Negan answers in force and rains grenades on Alexandria. The volume ends with much of the town in ruins and Rick's group moving the resistance to the Hilltop.
