In issue #100, Negan shows up, corners Rick and the group on the road and kills Glenn with Lucille, his barbed-wire bat. Alexandria starts handing over half of everything to the Saviors. Carl sneaks into the Sanctuary alone to kill Negan and is caught, but Negan brings him home and starts dropping by Alexandria. Rick plays along while meeting King Ezekiel and his tiger, Shiva, at the Kingdom. The volume ends with Rick uniting Alexandria, the Hilltop and the Kingdom in a secret war plan against Negan.
