Quick recap

The story picks up where the previous book ends, with Earth seconds from destruction, and Arthur, Ford, Trillian and Random barely escape. Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz learns there's a colony of Earthlings on the planet Nano and sets out to wipe it out. The colony's leader, Hillman Hunter, wants a god to protect the place, and Zaphod talks the Norse god Thor into taking the job. The Vogons attack, but Jeltz's son, Constant Mown, argues that the orders cover Earthlings, not the people of Nano, and the attack stops. Arthur finds the beach of his dreams, which the Vogons soon threaten to destroy.
