Quick recap

1813. French colonel Leroux is hunting down the region's British agents and is after the most valuable one, El Mirador, whose identity almost no one knows. Sharpe is ordered to stop Leroux before he gets to the spy. In town, he finds Sir Henry Simmerson in charge and Captain Jack Spears, a charming aristocrat buried in debt. Leroux is the better swordsman, and their clash leaves Sharpe badly wounded. He's nursed by Lass, a young woman who doesn't speak. Working from the 1983 book, TV changes the year and several plot details.
