Quick recap

At a preview of Stab, a movie based on the Woodsboro murders, two students are killed. Sidney is at Windsor College with her boyfriend Derek and her friend Randy. Gale and Dewey come to town, and Cotton Weary, now cleared, wants fame. The victims share names with those of the first massacre. Randy is killed in a van in broad daylight, and Dewey is stabbed. In the campus theater, Derek's friend Mickey unmasks as the killer and shoots Derek. His partner is reporter Debbie Salt, really Nancy Loomis, Billy's mother, who betrays Mickey. Cotton shoots Nancy, and Sidney and Gale finish Mickey off. Dewey survives.
